Objective:
Strengthen the village-level and watershed-level governance of climate-smart intervention (biomass, biodiversity, and water resources) by village communities and the Panchayati Raj System in addressing natural resource management.
To ensure equal opportunity and rights on natural resources and wages for all sects of society to get access and maximum financial benefits from all developmental schemes.
To increase the availability of biomass and biodiversity through vegetation measures on the identified commons under various secure or tenure arrangements.
To improve the availability of ground and surface water which will help in providing drinking water for the village population and livestock and to provide critical irrigation to marginalized groups of society.
To assist individual farmers through appropriate soil and water conservation measures to improve water availability and moisture conservation, reducing soil erosion for improving agricultural productivity.
Climate Smart Agriculture to improve livelihood and to improve the socio-economic conditions of deprived/ marginalized women.
