Dr. Satish Kumar Sharma is a retired Forest Officer of Rajasthan Forest Services. He worked in Forest Department in Rajasthan for more than 36 years. In 1991, he completed his first PhD degree from University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. He completed his other PhD in 2007 from Mohan Lal Sukhadiya University, Udaipur. Both his PhD degrees are from science stream. He completed his Forestry Certificate Course with a Gold Medal from Southern Forest Rangers College Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu in 1985.
As an active researcher, he published more than 650 research papers and popular research articles in national and international journals. He has written 11books and is a recipient of many prestigious awards and fellowships, some of them are mentioned below:
During his tenure at Forest Department, he was awarded by Government of Rajasthan for several times.
Dr Sharma has a vast experience in forest and wildlife management, forest and grass land restoration, soil and water conservation, zoo management, creation of herbal and botanical gardens etc. He is a life time member of many scientific and research organization and now also serving himself directly or indirectly as a faculty of different universities and training organizations.
Mr. Jay Anand serves as a Sr. Vice President, inCarbonwatch India Limited, Delhi, India. He has more than eighteen years of experience in the development sector and has worked on various issues related to Carbon Credit in Nature based solutions, Monitoring and Evaluation, Natural Resource Management, Climate change adaptation & mitigation strategies, Ecosystem Services and Community Based Adaptation, both at the programme and policy levels. He is currently leading a portfolio of projects related to vulnerability assessment, adaptation in water and agriculture, climate risk management training and capacity building. As a development practitioner, he has having wide experience in evidence-based research in India and abroad to deal nexus of water, agriculture and renewable energy. His research focus is on community-based adaptation, vulnerability assessment, environmental governance and policy.
He has experience in the domain of rural transformation and livelihood promotions, Commodities value chain and business development (Farmer Producer Organizations in five commodities), climate risk management training and capacity building. His major research contributions include the development of models and software tools for hydrologic modelling, exposure of fuzzy and neuro-fuzzy computing techniques; GIS and LCA tools used for energy and water programme. Currently, he is working on the impact of climate change on nexus (Water-Agriculture-Forest-Social development). His work on Watershed Management, Hydrological impact Assessment, Geohydrological Modelling and Integrated Hydrological Impact Assessment, Water Audit, Flood hazard assessment, Climate Change Impact Studies (Narmada, Krishna, Kaveri, Subarnarekha river basins), Dam Break analysis (Jindal Steel Power Ltd, Karnataka), Hydrological Modeling (Wakkal Basin), Decision Support System (Wakkal and Ur Basin), Vulnerability and Adaptation (Tamil Nadu, Odisha and Madhya Pradesh), Environmental Flow Requirement (Narmada), IWRM (Krishna and Kaveri) are critical. He has significantly contributed to climate change adaptation studies and projects in Agriculture and NRM sectors and has experience in providing training and capacity building in many coastal states of India.
Mr. Suresh Kashliwal graduated in commerce from Maharshi Dayanand University, Ajmer and worked as a Senior Journalist at Rajasthan Patrika & Danik Bhaskar from 1990-2001. During his work, he covered and highlighted many issues that were very serious on that time like pollution control, deterioration of water quality, climate change, women drudgery in Rajasthan and also about all the policies and schemes issued by the government for village and farmers development. Now also he is very active in publishing news from Rajasthan and is also serving himself as a board member of Sarv Mangal Gramin Vikas Sansthan, (SMGVS).
Er. Salvi completed his Bachelor of Engineering in Agricultural Engineering, from College of Technology and Agricultural Engineering (CTAE), Udaipur University, Udaipur Rajasthan. Er. C L Salvi brings in more than 35 years of work experience in Rural Development, Panchayati Raj Watershed development & Soil Conservation department in Government of Rajasthan. He possesses a deep understanding of lift irrigation, Soil and Water Conservation, Watershed development, Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act etc.
He also holds practical experience in the areas of Natural resource management, Participatory Planning, Execution, Supervision and Management of Integrated Watershed Management Projects, strengthening of Local Institutionand identification of Livelihood options for the rural community in semi-arid region of Rajasthan.
As a development anchor he is closely associated with Assistant Engineer for four years in Community Lift Irrigation Schemes in Rural development Department for Survey, Planning, Design and Execution of Community Lift Irrigation Schemes. He had 11 years of service experience as Assistant Engineer in watershed development and soil conservation department, one year experience as Block Development officer in Panchayati Raj department of Govt. of Rajasthan, 4.5 yrs experience as Executive Engineer MGNREGA in Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan and lastly 8 years experience as Superintending Engineer Cum Project Manager, Watershed Cell Cum Data Centre Zila Parishad Dungarpur, Udaipur, Karauli, Bhilwara and Bundi districts of Rajasthan. Moreover, having wide knowledge of Selection, Planning, Execution, Supervision and Monitoring of integrated Watershed Management Projects as well as experience of coordination with political personalities and administrative officers. He has a wide experience of print and electronic media visits of rural development works.
Er. Salvi has a very deep knowledge and four years of experience in water concept based Ridge to Valley Planning, execution, supervision and Monitoring of Water Conservation and Water Harvesting structures. He played a lead role in Mukhyamantri Jal Swavlamban Abhiyaan SE and PM Watershed Development in Dungarpur and Udaipur District and got honour at State level by Commissioner for his remarkable work in 2017.
Dr. S.K.Singh Joined Agriculture Research Services ARS in 1989 as a Scientist after completing of Master's program at Banaras Hindu University Varanasi; moved to CAZRI Rajasthan as senior Scientist and was elevated to a principal scientist at CSSRI Karnal; was promoted to the Head regional Centre NBSS&LUP Kolkata and became Director of NBSS&LUP at Nagpur in 2014. Dr. Singh is trained in Remote Sensing and GIS and conducted pioneering research in land resource inventory and input based land use planning, efficient crop zoning, fallow land mapping, Bhoomi Geoportal and customized digital assistants; proactively involved popularizing natural resource management as discipline; launched a countrywide programme of Land Resource Inventory and land Use Planning for the Farmers; developed land use plan for the apparitional districts of India notified by NITI Aayog, New Delhi; coordinated the activities of Indian Science Congress Kolkata as president for Agriculture and Forestry Section and Clay Mineral Society of India, New Delhi; notable contribution global organic carbon mapping, soil organic carbon map of India and the concept of sustainable agriculture inclusive of arable and non-arable land; represented ICAR in FAO for Asian Soil Partnership and debated on land acquisition act before parliamentary committee, farm bills and participated in High level policy dialogue on the investment on agriculture research and education; reviewer of many international journals and the part of editorial board of Indian Journals; contributed 481 research items, of which 300 research papers for national and international repute, seven books, nine copyrights, many atlases, bulletins and monograph; established industry-institutional linkage and working on the convergence of Agro technologies across the disciplines for professional agriculture land use planning. Dr. Shailendra Nath Pandey brings in more than 25 years of work experience in development sector. He possesses a deep understanding of India’s agriculture, livestock and livelihood sector particularly smallholder agriculture and agriculture extension with a strong focus on gender and women empowerment as well as entrepreneurship.
He also holds demonstrative experience in the areas of Natural resource management, Participatory Planning and Management, Monitoring and evaluation, strengthening of Local Institution, network management and identification of Livelihood options for the rural community in semi-arid region of central India.
As a development anchor closely associated with projects and programme on integrated farming system, Watershed management, Climate change, women empowerment, promotion of farmer producer organization, financial inclusion for women and farmers, he has delivered several successful projects for the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, NIDM, NABARD, GIZ, UNDP, WWF, CSR and Government of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, among others. He led the project for Promotion of Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs) for implementation of sustainable farming practices, adopting the post- harvest agri-business activities through the promotion of farmer’s collectives and strengthening agricultural value chains for NABARD.
Dr.Pandey travelled across Asia and Europe for sharing natural resource management knowledgeconnect to practices and policy interface in different forum. Heacts as observer in CoP21 in Paris2016. He also serves as a member State watershed committee of Government of M.P. and NABARD WDF and TDF fund for U.P.
Dr. Pandey is an Agriculture graduate acquired Masters and Ph.D. degree in Agricultural extension and education from CCS Haryana Agriculture University Hisar, India.
An ecologist, forester and biologist with about two decades of diverse research and work experience in United Nations (FAO, UNDP and UNESCO), Governments, reputed NGOs and research institutions on subjects related to biodiversity conservation, climate change, forestry, ecology, sustainable development, etc. He is internationally trained with degrees from reputed institutions and universities in Europe and USA in the subjects of biodiversity related Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs) such as CITES, CMS,CBD etc as well as environmental governance, ecological economics etc. He is a globally certified expert from India on biodiversity conventions with particular focus on international trade in threatened species of plants and animals. His interest areas are natural resource based sustainable development, bio resource markets development, ecosystem based climate change solutions, sustainable uses of biodiversity, forest governance, etc. He is an alumni of Delhi University, Forest Research Institute (University), India, Universidad International de Andalucía, Spain, Technical University of Dresden, Germany and Duke University, USA.
Mr. B. K. Sharma did M.Com. and Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development from Indira Gandhi National Open University. After completing his formal education he started working at Foundation of Ecological Society, Rajasthan and continued to work there for several years. Having an experience of more than thirty years he is now serving himself as a Programme Director at SMGVS. His major responsibilities and expertise lies in Leveraging and managing funds from different investors (Public, Private or Governmental agencies), Conceptualizing planning and proposals for successful augmentation of the undergoing and upcoming projects, Coordinating and monitoring progress of different projects concerned with natural resource management, sustainable livelihood and water management, enabling and capacitating performance productivity of team members, documentation of the potential projects and reporting and presenting the same to the investors, facilitating and managing the legal policies intervention of the project, Promoting green ecology to ensure a sustainable guaranteed income for the vulnerable groups and Liaison with Government, CSR.
Mr. Akhilesh Pandey did M.A Sociology, and then started working and contributing his knowledge in social activities. He has an expertise on very important issues like Natural Resource Management, Sustainable Livelihood Development, Women empowerment and not only in social but also supervised technical aspects in agriculture.
Mr. Rahul Pandey completed his Bachelors in Computer Application and a diploma course in Masters in Networking Application. Thereafter he started to work with SMGVS and is now handling all the agricultural activities like natural resource management, pasture land development, engineering applications in agriculture, and organic farming.
Mrs. Preeti Pandey completed her graduation in Economics Honors from Banaras Hindu University, post-graduation in Sociology and also did BEd. from MGKVP. Thereafter she joined SMGVS as HR and is coordinating all activities related to admin and HR from 8 years. She also have very good managerial skill with which she is managing all sort of activities taking place at SMGVS.
Mr. Pramod Kumar did his B.Sc. in Agriculture from College of Agriculture Indore, JNKVV University Jabalpur and masters in Environmental Resource Management from University College Dublin, Ireland. Then talking about his professional experience he worked on varied organizations and some of them are PJ Dave Flora Ltd. Kenya, Overseas Development Institute, Aga Khan Rural Support Programme Ahmedabad, National Tree Growers Cooperative Federation Ltd. Anand and gained experience on various topics like horticulture, logistics, women empowerment, pasture land development and research work. He also worked under UNDP project and was also involved in various U.K projects. He also published various research articles in reputed journals and now contributing his knowledge and experience with Sarv Mangal Gramin Vikas Sansthan.
Mr. Mitthan Lal Sharma did masters in sociology and now handling all the social activities at SMGVS. Having more than twenty years of experience, his expertise lies on Pasture Land Development, SHG, Watershed Committee formation and Natural Resource Management. Other than this he is serving as an Institutional Development Expert, VDC formation expert, and prepares plan for livelihood and weaker section of society, MGNREGA.
Mr. Vivek Kumar Pandey did B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering from Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow (U.P.) and then worked at Jain Irrigation Private limited for one year. Thereafter he worked as a Junior Technical Assistant at MNREGA for five years. Mr. Sushil Kumar Sharma did his M.A in sociology and since then he has worked and gained a lot of experience. He worked as an Assistant Project Officer of child development at ICDS Project in Rajasthan Government project for about six years, then he worked as a B.D.O at Parivar Seva Clinic, NGO for two years and then also at Project Officer in SGSY Project of Rajasthan Government for 8 years. After gaining much experience and knowledge, he joined Sarv Mangal Gramin Vikas Sansthan as a Project Officer and is working on very serious issues like education of the girl child, women empowerment, formation and functioning of SHG’s and also giving trainings on health and nutrition of pregnant, lactating mothers and a new born. Currently he is working as a Project officer at Sarv Mangal Gramin Vikas Sansthan and is giving his best to take the organization to new heights.
Mr. Dhanna Singh Rawat did his graduation in Sociology, did Bachelor in Education and Management Appreciation Programme for Voluntary Agencies from Institute of Rural MANAGEMENT, Anand (IRMA). In his professional carrier he first started working as a Deputy Project Coordinator at Foundation of Ecological Security (FES) for 5 years, then he also worked a Consultant then as a Programme Manager VKSS for about 6 years. He was also involved in projects with CUTS- Centre for Human Development, at Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. His areas of specialization are mainly Child Rights and Child Participation, Consumer Awareness and Consumer Protection, Women Empowerment, Reproductive and Child Health, Adolescent Health and Development, Education and Awareness Generation, Training, Networking and Community Mobilization. Now he is working as a Senior Project Officer at Sarv Mangal Gramin Vikas Sansthan and is helping to grow the organization in the best possible ways.
Mr. Vivek Kumar Pandey did his masters in accounts and there after he joined and worked for 8 years as an accountant at BAIF- Institute for sustainable livelihoods and Development (BAIF), Udaipur, Rajasthan. Thereafter, he joined Sarvmangal Gramin Vikas Sansthan, (SMGVS) and now working as a Finance coordinator.
Mr. Devendra Tripathi completed his Graduation in agriculture and masters in Sociology. With his 20 years of experience in social activities, now he is serving himself at Sarv Mangal Gramin Vikas Sansthan. He is focusing majorly on formation of SHG’s, water user groups, farmer’s interest groups and mobilised them for different livelihood activities. Assisting in formation, functioning, monitoring of Farmers Producer Companies of the organization, MGNREGAS.
Mr. Rajeev Maurya did B.A and then a diploma course in Agricultural Engineering. He worked in different tractor companies like Mahindra and Mahindra, Eicher and Preet Tractors and also worked in MGNREGA project for several years. With his experience and knowledge know he is working as a Project Officer at SMGVS and is handling major agriculture related activities like Crop Diversification, Multi-cropping pattern and Sustainable Agriculture.
Mr. Mohd. Vasim Ansari completed his B.Tech in Civil Engineering from College of Technology and Engineering, Udaipur. He is looking all the activities related to Engineering and technology related to water conservation at villages and on agricultural fields. With his keen understanding work related to roof top rain water harvesting was a great success at SMGVS projects.
Mr. Girish Keswani did B.Sc. in Agriculture from Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth Parbhani. Being a fresher Mr. Girish is very diligent in handling new technologies used in agriculture and has very innovative ideas that are helpful for smooth functioning of all agricultural thematic areas of SMGVS.
Ms. Snehil Dubey did B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya and M.tech in Soil and Water Conservation Engineering from Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Banaras Hindu University. There after she gained experience via working at Watershed Organization Trust (WOTR) as a Technical Officer, then at DeHaat as a Management Trainee. Moreover she also worked as a Junior Research Fellow at National Institute of Hydrology. Her expertise lies on hydrological modeling, impact assessment, and prioritization of watershed on basis of morphometric analysis, Climate Change, Remote Sensing and GIS.
