How Durga Lal benefitted from Anicut

It was challenging to utilize my land for crop production due to water scarcity. However, after installing an anicut, the water level has increased, allowing us to change our cropping pattern. Using the ITC MAARS app, we stay informed about disease control and weather conditions well in advance. As a result, my land is more productive, leading to increased earnings. The support from ITC and SMGVS has also helped enhance my knowledge of agricultural practices.

Benefitted from Vermicomposting

I now have a lot of tasks to manage on my land, including growing various vegetables and fruits. I've also come to understand the importance of vermicomposting and other techniques for water and soil conservation. Attending ITS's CSA Meetings has helped me improve my livelihood through better crop production. I've also invested money in building my own Pucca house.

Happy with ITC and SMVGS work

After the procurement of tanks in our community, we are now benefiting from improved water availability for our animals and crops. Additionally, I have begun practicing horticulture and can now grow multiple crops on my land. Through a CSA meeting, I learned about seed germination and now use a good variety of seeds. In a season, I earned 85,000 from papaya fruit alone. I am pleased to share that both ITC and SMGVS have come to my village.

Happy with ITC and SMVGS work

Earlier, I used to plant crops without much knowledge, but after interventions from ITC and support from SMGVS, my methods of growing crops significantly improved. A drip system was installed, which addressed water scarcity issues. Additionally, they provided a sprinkler pipeline and helped build a manger for animals. A greenhouse was constructed for vegetables and fruits, and they supplied us with plants to cultivate. As a result, my income has increased, and I now maintain my own nursery of fruiting plants.
